"I'm not who
you think I am.
In fact, my
disguise is so thin
I'm surprised
you haven't
seen right
through me.

I'm the girl
of your dreams
masquerading as
your best friend."

- Chloe Sullivan to Clark Kent
Smllville Episode 2.16, "Fever"

welcome to carbon copy

Hi, and welcome to Carbon Copy the first (and so far, only that we know of) site devoted to the Chloe Sullivan is Lois Lane theory that has been spawned by certain sections of the Smallville fandom.  Now, we aren't saying that Chloe=Lois is the gospel truth, but it is a distinct possibility and one that we happen to enjoy experimenting with.  We hope it's one that you wouldn't mind exploring either.  And this isn't all about Clois or Chlark shipping either; it's about trying to find a plausible answer to the questions of "What happens to Chloe Sullivan?" and "Isn't the Iconic Lois Lane more than a 'muffin peddling college drop-out'?"

This is our attempt to answer those questions.

We've got fan fiction, essays, fan art and a multitude of other different things to dig into while you're here; and of course, we happily take (and adore) any and all submissions. Feel free to look around, offer up your own suggestions as why you like Chloe=Lois, and just enjoy yourself.

The Offical Home of Correct TV Show Opinions Supports Chlois

4.15.2007
As we are gearing up for the finale, speculations are starting to trickle in about major shake ups to the cast.
Rodney Brazeau who is writing for thetvshowblog.com [full article here] shares his opinion on who should leave and why:

I think it would be interesting to have Lois die. I always thought the character of Chloe Sullivan was very much the Archetype for Lois Lane. That and for my tastes, I think Chloe is the most attractive of the girly entourage on the show. But that's just me.

Now bear with me a moment, killing off Lois will be AWESOME for ratings as it will send the fans into a frenzied mess of controversy. Make it part of the cliffhanger season finale and keep the fans guessing until fall. Then reveal that she is in fact dead. Fans will be in an uproar that Lois was killed off in the show, and no one will see it coming.

Then give some plot device that has Chloe get in some sort of trouble, and have her assume Lois' identity. This way Chloe still pursues her career at the Planet. Make it a permanent part of the TV Continuity, and Lois and Clark can still end up together.

Entertainment Weekly's Senior Editor Calls for Temp Lois to Depart

11.12.2006
Typically, we don't put news up on the front page as a general rule (besides the content updated to the site itself.)  However, this is worth putting it on the front page.  Entertainment Weekly's senior staff writer Scott Brown gave Chlois an endorsement and linked to our main site.  It's at the bottom of his article (linked in the new media section) and we'll quote him directly now.

On an entirely different subject: Al Gough and Miles Millar, I implore you, please let the Chlois Theory be somehow true. I don’t like tortured, multidimensional crises in my comic-book universe any more than you do, but if that’s what it takes to make Chloe (Allison Mack) the real Lois Lane, then, by Zod, do it. Sorry, Temp Lois (Erica Durance). You've been shown up. The Mack Lois is simply a superior being, and ain't life cruel?

-- Scott Brown, Senior Writer, Entertainment Weekly Magazine.
