After a fellow classmate is attacked by an invisible assailant, Chloe and Clark are on the case. They stop for coffee while running theories and over here Whitney and Lana fighting; Chloe tells Clark to "pretend that [they] weren't listening."
Their investigation switches over to Luthor Manor when another invisible assailant spray paints 'Leave!' on the walls. Chloe automatically thinks poltergeist; Clark teaser her about this and points out the hired help at Luthor manor. Chloe talks relationships for a while and reminds Clark in his dealings with Lana that "once you cross that line, you can't hide behind the cloak of friendship."
When looking through broken mirror fragments later, Chloe stumbles upon the substance used to turn people invisible. Chloe goes off to note Amy's blood type and match it to the blood on the mirror.
Chloe comes to Clark with the information about Amy's blood; Clark puts the pieces together and figures out that it's Jeff. He runs off to save the day while Chloe slumps against his couch, once again left out at the crucial moment.
