Chloe goes with Lana to have one last look around the Talon before Lana hands over the keys to the new owner.  Neither are thrilled about it being turned into a burrito bar; they meet Emily who is posing as the new owners daughter.  Lana thinks she recognizes her but it doesn't go very far; she agrees to show "Emma" the ropes of the Talon.

Lionel visits the Torch later that night, giving Chloe a picture of Emily and demanding her help; Chloe is dead pan and sarcastic towards him but recognizes Emily and shows it to Clark the next day.  Clark helps her piece together that it is Emily, that Lionel must of grabbed her last year, and Clark mentions that they'd got to keep Emily away from Lex due to Lex working with the FBI.  Chloe is taken aback and points out about Lex's grandparents' murder; Clark refutes that citing that "[they] never had hard evidence before about what Lionel was doing."  But that if they found Emily, they would have evidence that Lionel was illegally cloning people.

Chloe goes to talk to Lex; she tells him what Lionel erased - about MorganEdge, the murder, memory wipe, the confession, her entanglement with his father - and about what she had, the voicemail confession.  She points out that he has enough clout to resurrect that confession and use it.  Lex thanks her for coming forward and Chloe admits that she knows Luthor politics can be deadly but she knows he'll take care of her.

Chloe catches Clark at the Torch late at night; he's working on trying to prove that Lex doesn't belong in Belle Reve.  Clark's pulled Lex's medical files but Chloe says they don't prove conclusively, she suggests coming back in the morning to help him out.   Chloe is helping Lana with her rehabilitation and suggests he help; Clark replies that had Lana wanted his help, he would of been there.   As she's about to leave, Clark stops her leaving as he reads off Lex's updated therapy.   Dr. Claire Foster recommended Lex for electro-shock therapy in 24 hours.

They confront Dr. Foster the next day in Metropolis to try to convince her to stop this procedure.  Chloe tells her that while she could "talk [her] way out of Lex's dubious drug regime" but that she's already had a lawsuit over electro-shock therapy.   Clark adds that just because Lionel Luthor is paying her off, it doesn't mean she has to go through with it.

When Lex is attacked in his house, he goes to Clark for help; Clark is then told that Chloe and Lex were working together to take down Lionel. Clark goes to pick Chloe up asking her how she got involved; she plays it off as a story that she figured Lex would be interested in. Apparently she had no idea that Lex would theorize that Lionel killed his parents, and points out that she's not going to be the only one in trouble if this is true. Clark tells her that he won't "leave her alone" with these people about.

Clark takes her back to Kent Farm, where Lionel Luthor is talking with his parents. Lionel claims Lex has had a psychotic break and that he needs to find his son. Neither Clark nor Chloe tell them that Lex is hiding out in the barn until after Lionel has left. Chloe watches over Lex while Clark explains the situation to his parents. Lex walks in on the conversation accusing them all of hiding things from him.
